All dancers entering into a Regional Title, will do so with the commitment of obligation to represent their Region and compete at the National Championships for the National Title.
All Title Contestants must also be entered in the Performing Arts competition and not solely in the Titles Division. In Performing Arts, they must perform either a Solo (different than Title routine), Duo/Trio or Group. Contestants will have a private Interview with the Judges, on the morning of the competition, before the actual competition begins. No costume is to be worn for Interview. During the Interview, approximately 5 minutes, contestants are not allowed to mention their Studio or Teacher by name.
Title Performances will be held throughout the day. Time limit is not to exceed 2:45 minutes.

If there is only 1 Contestant entered into a particular Division, that Contestant must receive a total score of at least 240 points to win the Title. If score is lower, they will receive placement of 1st runner-up.
All Regional Title winners will receive a Dance Ovations Regional Title jacket and trophy, along with female Titles receiving a tiara/crown. All Title Contestants will receive a trophy of placement. Regional Titlists are to represent their region at Nationals. Contestants that place 1st or 2nd runner-up at Regionals may also enter for National Title. Please note: National Title winners may not compete in any Dance Ovations Title Divisions during their reigning year. They must wait until the following year to do so, and it must be in a different Division, than that of which they held National Title.
At Dance Ovations, our Judges are personally interviewed and carefully selected. Our Judges are highly qualified teachers, choreographers and or professional dancers with extensive backgrounds in the "Arts". Sharing their knowledge and love for the Arts, giving their comments, praises and corrections in a "positive" manner, with the best of the dancer being first and foremost. This being immeasurable to every dancer for enhancing their education in the Arts.
Judge's (3) critiques on DVD, along with score sheets, will be available to you at the completion of competition. You may pick these up at the music table at the completion of the Awards Presentation.
In order to be fair to everyone, keeping our schedule flowing and on time, please read the following:
Music that fails to play before the start of the routine, we will put that routine on hold, waiting for back-up music, with no longer than a time allowance of 3 routines. If due to faulty CD, music skips or fails in any way during the performance, Judges will make the decision for a second try. The routine will however be excluded from any and all High Scores. Any dancer who leaves the stage before completion of routine (not music malfunction related) will not be scored and not allowed a second try. All music accepted on CD's ONLY. The CD must be free of any labels, as labels can sometimes cause a CD to jam in the machine. Please use a separate CD for each routine. Multiple songs on a CD will only be accepted for "back-up" music. The music is such an important factor into a routine, please be very careful when recording music, using only new CD's. Also note, multiple uses of a CD can ruin them, causing them not to play at all or skipping and or distorted. Music that fails to play before the start of the routine, we will put that routine on hold, waiting for back-up music, no longer than a time allowance of 3 routine hold. Always bring back-up for all your music. It is strongly suggested to bring your back-up music on an IPOD.
