We are the original founder of FOREVER FRIENDS. The making of Forever Friends is one of the many highlighted features that dancers, teachers and parents, love and look forward to!

I proudly watched my daughter compete this past weekend, as I have for the last 6 years. This was her dance studio's first time at Dance Ovations. I have never written to any other competition but feel it necessary to let you know what I, as a parent, observed throughout the competition.
I apologize for my long wind, here goes...
From the moment you greeted everyone with Good Morning & Welcome to Dance Ovations, I felt the atmosphere to be very different from other competitions. Listening to the way you introduced every routine with such ENTHUSIASM, the FRIENDLINESS amongst EVERYONE just kept building! Watching the little dancer who's nerves got the best of her, she stopped dancing, you cheered out loud, encouraging her to keep going... the smile on her face when she took her bow...priceless! There were so many "moments" throughout the weekend but what impressed me the most was your mannerism and the "heartfelt message" you were giving to every dancer as you looked into their eyes as they sat on the stage awaiting the Awards. First was the THANKING of parents, families, teachers. Then there was the making of "Forever Friends", very powerful message here and well receptive by all. Now ready to announce the Awards but not until you have their attention and ask them to please hear what you are about to say to them... (it went like this), you had the dancers raise their right hand, place it over their back and give themselves a great big pat of Congratulations, for they should be very PROUD of themselves for THEIR accomplishments. You told them it was "their dreams", that the results of this competition came from the "opinion" of the panel of judges that sat in front of them, today, and with all the respect to the judges, their "opinion" doesn't define who you are as a dancer and more importantly as a human being, and to never let anyone or anything stand in the way of them achieving their dreams!
Along with being a very proud Dad, I am a " professional sports coach" and I also have the pleasure of being a "sports coach" for children leagues.
Yes Anne-Marie, I heard your message loud and clear and needless to say, I WAS COMPLETELY BLOWN AWAY! I intend to "follow your lead" with every athlete I have the honor of coaching!

Dance Ovations, my how you have GROWN! I found your competition when I opened my studio 14 years ago. We have competed in many competitions throughout the years but yours has always been our FAVORITE! Your competition has a FUN, FRIENDLY, non intimidating ATMOSPHERE, and that is because of you…How you can remember each teacher and dancer by name (even 1st time competing) is beyond me, but just shows ALL of us how much you care. It doesn’t matter if you are competing for the first time or a long term veteran/fan, like myself, you and your students will leave this competition PROUD, INSPIRED, and FULL of NEW LIFELONG FRIENDSHIPS!!! Dance Ovations… We cannot find the words to THANK YOU ENOUGH

Just when you think it can’t get any better, it DOES. Don’t know how you do it Anne-Marie but YOU DO. Everyone is still talking about Nationals and looking forward to the next one. Studio Director Our studio attends a few competitions throughout the year. We always choose Dance Ovations first. It is by far the best and our favorite!!! Dancers took the advice from a friend (studio owner) and attended Dance Ovations with my dancers for the first time this year. She was right, your competition is everything and more she said it is. Hi Anne-Marie, Hope the rest of your summer was a restful one after the Nationals. We all had a good time in Sturbridge. Everything was great, the huge stage, dressing rooms, video company, and of course you Anne-Marie, without YOU, there wouldn’t be a Dance Ovations. I remember when you started and we attended your first competition. I think it was 2 hours long (LOL). My, my how you have GROWN. You are truly a CLASS ACT andwe here at the studio give YOU an ABSOLUTE! Susan’s Studio of Dance. Just wanted to let you know that we truly do enjoy everything you offer us. Hi Anne-Marie, Just wanted you to know just in case you ever doubt what you are doing or the load feels too heavy at times, it is so worth it! While putting my daughter to bed one evening (a couple of days before a competition), she said to me: I love Anne-Marie, don’t you. At first I had no idea who she was talking about and then realized it was you. I replied, yes Ali, me too! Her excitement grew on meeting new friends and possibly being chosen on stage to make a “Forever Friend”. I JUST WANTED TO SAY THANK YOU FOR MAKING SOMETHING COMPETITIVE MORE ABOUT CELEBRATING THE UNIFIED ART OF DANCE AND FRIENDSHIP RATHER THAN A RIVALRY AMONG ARTISTIC DANCERS. Dear Anne-Marie, My studio had been attending the same competitions year after year and I was starting to feel burnt out from them. It seemed like they were all the same. A friend of mine who also owns a studio told me about Dance Ovations. She told to me how this competition was different from the others.
